DISABILITY SQUAD 2006/07

Players:-

Daniel Augustine – a versatile player, Dan started the season at full back, playing on both the right and left before going between the sticks in the middle of the season. Always reliable and a player the management can trust.

John Hooper – too young to qualify for the team, John has nonetheless regularly attended training and has also assisted the coaches at matches. He loves football and will always work hard to improve.

Scott Jones – a hard working player who joined in the last month of the season Scott has the potential to be a good player. Has mainly been used in forward positions so far, scoring two goals in the final game of the season.

Paul Miles – the old man of the team, he works hard in training and always gives of his best. Brings great enthusiasm to every session he attends and loves to score like his favourite player Robbie Keane.

Matt Nash – another versatile player, Matt has been used at full back and in midfield but is beginning to make the strikers position his own. Top scorer at around a goal a game, Matt uses his pace to great effect behind opposition defences and usually finishes well.

Nicholas Patrick – a very skilful player with great pace and ball skills, Nicholas has mainly played on the right side of midfield this season. He always works hard for the team and has also weighed in with a few goals.

Jonathon Riggins – a strong, fast player with a good finish Jon has been unlucky not to play more as he has been unavailable for many matches. Always working hard and willing to listen, Jon will hopefully be able to play in more matches next season.

Luke Robinson – the youngest member of the first team, Luke started the season as a substitute but once given the opportunity made the right back position his own. Loves to tackle and his countless goal-line clearances have been invaluable. Will keep getting better and better.

Anthony Roche – the assistant coach came out of retirement for the second half of the season, scoring within five minutes of his debut. The complete midfielder who can pass equally well with either foot, Anthony also brings organisational skills to the team and much needed height at set pieces!

Daniel Rogers – the head coach started the season in goal until a long standing ankle injury ended his season early. An experienced shot-stopper who will hope to regain fitness next season.

Toby Smith – a confident young keeper who joined towards the end of the season, starting the last three games. Toby has excellent handling skills, good positional instincts and can be a key part of the side next year.

Paul Spink – central midfielder with an excellent range of passing, both long and short. Paul has an explosive shot from distance and was unlucky not to score more this season. Works well with Anthony at the heart of the team. A player the coaches can always rely upon.

Joe Strohm – an individual talent, Joe has played as an attacking midfielder or striker. Has great pace and skill and was second highest scorer for the team and could have had more after countless efforts hit the post and crossbar. Excellent work-rate and always causes the opposition problems.

Jay Tipping – too young to play in the league this season, Jay is an enthusiastic player who has improved a great deal over the season. Retains the ball really well and takes up great positions on the pitch.

Graham Tuitt – started the season in midfield, both centrally and on the left before becoming the regular left back. Good positional sense and when in possession uses the ball well. Will continue to improve as he matures as a player.

Tom Ward – plays attacking midfield, or as a striker. Always looking to score, Tom has scored some important goals including one memorable shot from a tight angle against Shepway. With hard work Tom can force himself into the team on a more regular basis.

Charlie Wildman – a young player who joined halfway through the season Charlie has mainly been used as a striker. With a great touch and good ball skills Charlie has a lot of potential and with hard work could force his way into the team next season in the same way that Luke did this.

Robbie Williams – a player who can always be relied upon to attend training, Robbie works hard to make the most of his abilities. A popular member of the squad, he loves to entertain with impromptu raps.

Ronnell Williams – an excellent athlete who brings great pace to the centre of the defence. Needs to work on defending within a unit, but one-on-one is very difficult to beat and has frustrated many an opposition striker.
