Well done to Simon Marjarom and the players who've worked hard all season.

The Under 9's "A" played Hemel Town Youth "A" in the West Herts Youth league Challenge Cup Final at Sun Postal FC.

The match, which saw the young Saints create most of the chances ended with a fine 3-0 victory for the youngsters.

During the first half Kane Thomas had a few shots on goal which were either tipped around the post , into the side netting or blocked by the Hemel keepers legs.

It was Oliver Marjoram who gave the Young Saints the lead when he lobbed the ball over the keeper with a spectacular effort from the half way line.  During the second half Kane Thomas pounced onto a poor goal kick but his low drive went only inches wide of the upright, he then had a header go just wide of the other post.  it looked like it was not going to be Kane Thomas's day when he had a cracking shot tipped over the bat, but he finally scored to make it 2-0 with a low shot inside the keepers right hand post after Marjoram had help to set the chance up.

Soon it was 3-0 when Ross Davies played the ball to daniel Rosson who had just come on, and he scored with a firm low drive into the bottom left hand corner.

All the team played well and after the match, team captain Laurence Wroe stepped up to collect the cup.
